About Art Uncorked Paint Parties in Menifee, CA
Hi, I’m Deborah Irish, artist, instructor, and founder of Art Uncorked Mobile Paint & Sip.

I’m a self-taught Southern California artist now living in Menifee with my husband, and I’ve spent much of my life exploring different ways to create. In 2014, that lifelong love of art became something bigger when I founded Art Uncorked and began sharing the experience of painting with people throughout our local community.
ARTIST · INSTRUCTOR · FOUNDER
Meet Deborah Irish
Today, Art Uncorked offers mobile Paint Parties for birthdays, private gatherings, corporate events, HOA communities, fundraisers, senior communities, children's celebrations, and other special occasions throughout Riverside County and North San Diego County.

I also offer private art lessons from my home studio in Menifee for students who want more personalized instruction in drawing, watercolor, acrylics, or oils.
For me, Art Uncorked has always been about more than completing a painting.
It's about helping people discover that they can create.
It's about laughing with friends, trying something new, finding confidence in a brushstroke, and sometimes surprising yourself with what ends up on the canvas.
MY STORY
How My Journey as an Artist Began
Art and creativity have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Then came 2014. That was the year I realized that one of the things I enjoyed most about art was sharing it with other people.
And Art Uncorked was born.
I discovered watercolor painting in high school and quickly fell in love with the process of turning color, light, and imagination into something tangible. That early interest continued to grow over the years and led me to explore new mediums and creative challenges.
In the 1990s, I began creating murals and faux finishes in my Menifee home using acrylic paints. What started as a creative project eventually grew into a business serving residential and commercial clients.
From 2007 through 2014, I worked as a layout artist and graphic designer for a catalog company. That experience gave me another perspective on composition, color, design, and how individual elements can work together visually.
How Art Uncorked Paint Parties Started
When I established Art Uncorked in 2014, my goal was simple: make creating art feel fun and approachable.

Traditional art classes can sometimes feel intimidating to someone who doesn't think of themselves as "artistic." I wanted to create a different kind of experience - one where people could gather with friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers and discover painting in a relaxed, social environment.

Art Uncorked's mobile Paint Parties allow me to bring that experience directly to the group.

Instead of everyone traveling to a traditional painting studio, I bring the painting supplies and guided instruction to an appropriate home, workplace, community, senior living community, private venue, or event location.

Participants can follow the lesson step by step while still making their painting their own.

That's something I love about teaching groups.

Everyone may begin with the same canvas and the same general idea, but by the end of the session, every painting carries a little bit of the person who created it.
Paint Parties Designed to Bring People Together
Some of my favorite Art Uncorked memories aren't simply about the finished paintings.

They're about the conversations happening around the tables.
The person who starts the event saying, "I can't paint," and then proudly holds up their finished canvas.
Friends laughing together during a birthday celebration.
Coworkers talking outside their usual office environment.
Families creating something side by side.
Neighbors meeting each other at an HOA event.
That's what makes Paint Parties different from activities where guests simply sit and watch. Painting gives everyone something to participate in together.

Art Uncorked can provide mobile painting experiences for occasions such as:
No previous painting experience is required for guided group events. I walk participants through the project step by step while encouraging everyone to relax and enjoy the creative process.
From Mobile Painting Events to Private Art Lessons
Art Uncorked has grown over the years, but teaching remains at the center of what I do.

Mobile events allow me to introduce groups to painting in a fun social environment, while my private art lessons in Menifee provide an opportunity to work more closely with individual students.

Private lessons can explore:
Lessons are tailored around the student's experience, interests, and goals.

Some students are completely new to art. Others already paint and want to improve a particular skill or explore another medium.

There isn't one "right" reason to learn how to create.

Sometimes people want to develop technical ability. Sometimes they simply want a creative outlet.

Both are worthwhile.
Falling in Love With Oil Painting
My own artistic education has never really stopped. One especially meaningful moment happened in 2017, when I witnessed a total solar eclipse. Seeing that event inspired me in a way I hadn't expected and sparked a new fascination with the luminous depth and richness of oil painting.

I fell in love with the medium.

That experience reminded me of something I now try to pass along to my students: creativity evolves. You don't have to decide what kind of artist you are and remain there forever.
You can explore.
You can change mediums.
You can develop new techniques.
You can discover an interest years after you first pick up a paintbrush.
Art is a journey, and there's always another direction to explore.
Meet the Art Uncorked Team
Although Art Uncorked began with my personal artistic journey, memorable events don't happen alone.

I'm fortunate to have wonderful assistants who help make Art Uncorked events possible.

Melissa
Melissa has been one of my lovely assistants, helping support the creative experience at Art Uncorked events.

Regina
Regina has also been part of the Art Uncorked team, helping our painting events come together for guests and groups.

Christine
Christine is another valued member of the Art Uncorked family who has helped support our mobile painting experiences.

Behind every successful event is preparation - organizing supplies, helping participants, setting up materials, and making sure the painting experience runs smoothly.

I'm grateful to have had wonderful people beside me along the way.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Why I Believe Everyone Can Create Art
One of the biggest misconceptions about painting is that you have to be naturally talented before you begin.
I don't believe that.
Art isn't reserved for a particular type of person.

You don't need years of experience to enjoy putting paint on a canvas. You don't need your finished piece to look exactly like anyone else's. And you definitely don't need to be perfect.

Sometimes you simply need someone to show you where to begin.

That's the environment I try to create through every Art Uncorked lesson and event.
A little guidance.
A little encouragement.
Plenty of room to experiment.
And hopefully quite a bit of fun along the way.
